What are Uterine Fibroids?
Fibroids or Uterine Myomas are non-cancerous tumors that develop in the walls of the uterus.

They are the most frequent tumors that women present during their fertile age, between 22 to 45 years of age.

How can I know if I suffer from Fibroids in the uterus? / What are its symptoms?

Some women may have fibroids without symptoms; however, most women who suffer or have suffered from fibroids have symptoms such as heavy menstrual periods, pelvic pain, frequent urination, constipation, anemia, and stabbing pain in the lower back.

If I am diagnosed with fibroids in the uterus, how can they be treated?

Uterine fibroids can be treated through different techniques, one being the Uterine Fibroid Embolization. It is a minimally invasive procedure, in which the interventional radiologist delivers the medicine through a catheter to decrease the abnormal blood flow to the fibroids and reduce them.
